Final Dream Emmy Ballot

Hopefully after all of this hard work on the part of Michael Ausiello, some way, some how, the Emmy voters will take notice and recognize the shows that deserve it. This final ballot is Best Drama and Best Comedy series. As most of you know I will be pulling for Friday Night Lights and How I Met Your Mother. Feel free to announce who you want on the ballot and to win as well. See the full post here on EW. com.

Best Drama
Big Love (HBO)
Breaking Bad (AMC)
Friday Night Lights (DirecTV/NBC): They shot, they scored their best season since the first. Touchdown!
Mad Men (AMC)
Rescue Me (FX)
The Shield (FX)

Best Comedy
30 Rock (NBC)
The Big Bang Theory (CBS)
Chuck (NBC)
How I Met Your Mother (CBS): The fact that it's never been nominated is -- wait for it -- unacceptable.

Dream Emmy Ballot- Part 4

Michael Ausiello has delivered yet another snippet to his dream Emmy ballot (full post here). These are for lead actor/actress in a drama. The only one that I am completely sure of is the ever-yummy Kyle Chandler from Friday Night Lights. The other shows are either too serious or way over my head.

Best Actor (Drama)
Gabriel Byrne (In Treatment)
Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights): The series' heart and soul never punts. Ever.
Michael Chiklis (The Shield)
Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad)
Hugh Laurie (House)
Denis Leary (Rescue Me)

Best Actress (Drama)
January Jones (Mad Men)
Regina King (Southland)
Jeanne Tripplehorn (Big Love)
Glenn Close (Damages)
Evangeline Lilly (Lost)
Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men)

Did anyone get left off this list?

Last Day of School....

Remember when this used to be us? Well now it is my children! Happy last day of school!

Best Lead Actor (Comedy)
Alec Baldwin (30 Rock)
Kyle Bornheimer (Worst Week)
Steve Carell (The Office)

Christina Applegate (Samantha Who?)
Kaley Cuoco (The Big Bang Theory)
America Ferrera (Ugly Betty)
Tina Fey (30 Rock)
Joanna Garcia (Privileged)
Eva Longoria-Parker (Desperate Housewives)

I love that he mentioned Zahery Levi from Chuck but I am a little tired of Steve Carell. Just my opinions. See full post here.

So You Think You Can Dance!- Auditions

Last night SYTYCD was in Miami and Memphis. I will not say much just that I wish that the dancing that they showed was more of the good stuff and no the godawful crap. Did anyone else see the guy with the dreads doing the jumping, I'm high as a kite dance. Yeah that was 2 minutes that I will never get back. No major "stories" to report (because everyone has a story) but a few to keep an eye on in Vegas. The cop from Memphis was likable, the kid with the football coach father, and the blond that had hip surgery (when you make it to the top 20 I will remember your name). I also hope that the show continues to have Little "C" as a judge. Just watching him watch the dancers made me aware how seriously he takes his job. He was extremely thoughtful and concise. Tonight the show is in LA. I am ready for Vegas baby. Later taters!

Graduation Day (from PreK)

My youngest graduated from Pre K today...which means nothing. OK it means that she goes to kindergarten next year and that I have no one left at home that needs me but other than that nothing. Oh wait it also means that I have to buy a cap and gown that she wore for 15 minutes. On the flip side she was excited and had fun "graduating". So here she is...The Graduate!

Last day of school tomorrow!

Player puts NFL on hold

I read this article yesterday on Yahoo Sports and it made me feel a little better about the world we live in. Myron Rolle, who graduated from Florida State in 2 1/2 years, has decided to put the NFL on hold to pursue his dream of becoming.....a neurosurgeon. He is heading to Oxford in the fall as a Rhodes Scholar and will then come back to try out for NFL scouts for next year. Read the article here. Super impressive for a 22 year old. Now these are the people we need to have around for our children to idolize.

More So You Think You Can Dance Tonight!

Tonight the judges hit Miami and Nashville at 8:00 on Fox. Don't miss it.

Chris Brown Finally Speaks: 'I Ain't a Monster'

Then what are you? The word is that he will get off on a technicality. And he has a new album coming out. I wonder how it will do. Just pissed off at the way that famous people get to do what they want sometimes. I don't know what really happened (no one does) and I guess that means innocent until proven guilty but I still cringe when I think of the whole situation. Stepping down off my soapbox. Sorry. See full story on (here).

Dream Emmy Ballot part 2 (I Love MA)

Michael Ausiello released his next wave of ballot begging to the Emmy voters in the form of Supporting Actress/Actor in a drama. I am not as heavily invested in these just because I do not watch many of these shows...however, the amazing, beautiful, awesome and sensational Connie Britton from Friday Night Lights is considered supporting? I am not so sure about that. Here are the most recent additions (see full post here) and I am including what Mr. Ausiello said about Connie Britton just because it is nice to know someone out there loves her as much as I do.

Best Supporting Actress (Drama)
* Connie Britton (Friday Night Lights): Episode 8. When her character realizes she isn't going to be getting her new dream home. Excitement. Desperation. Resignation. All in three minutes. She deserves her own category.
* Ginnifer Goodwin (Big Love)
* Katherine Heigl (Grey's Anatomy
* Christina Hendricks (Mad Men)
* Alison Pill (In Treatment)
* CCH Pounder (The Shield)
* Chloe Sevigny (Big Love)

Best Supporting Actor (Drama)
* Walton Goggins (The Shield)
* Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad)
* John Noble (Fringe)
* Jeremy Davies (Lost)
* Ryan Kwanten (True Blood)
* Jon Voight (24)

Is there anyone missing? Maybe some of the kids from FNL, ER had an amazing final year, anyone else?

Michael Ausiello is my Hero (sort of)

As most of you know I take what Michael Ausiello says as my bible. He does all the scoop (down and dirty info) for Entertainment Weekly and makes sure that we are all informed when something big happens (big in entertainment people). So today Mr. Ausiello has begun his annual "dream" Emmy ballot listing all of his picks for the top award in hopes that Emmy voters will listen to him (he has been pushing Friday Night Lights for two years). Let me just say that before posting his choices I again commend his picks and hope that maybe this will be the year that someone pays attention. All hail to the Best Supporting Actress and Actor Category (see full post here)...

Best Supporting Actress (Comedy)

* Andrea Anders (Better Off Ted)
* Kristin Chenoweth (Pushing Daisies)
* Jennifer Esposito (Samantha Who?)
* Jane Krakowski (30 Rock)
* Cobie Smulders (How I Met Your Mother)
* Vanessa Williams (Ugly Betty)

Best Supporting Actor (Comedy)
* Adam Baldwin (Chuck)
* Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother)
* Chi McBride (Pushing Daisies)
* Tracy Morgan (30 Rock)
* Jason Segel (How I Met Your Mother)
* Michael Urie (Ugly Betty)

Did he miss anyone? Of course How I met Your Mother is one of my favorite shows on television so I loved seeing three from this show but who else?

So You Think You Can Dance - Apology

After watching the auditions Thursday night and remarking about how Nigel handled a same sex ballroom dance couple (he could not form words) I thought nothing more about it. Apparently the gay community took offense to his comments and Nigel has issued an apology. I do understand why offense was taken, Nigel's comments were rude but I don't think that this man was in any way trying to be mean or disrespectful; I think that he just did not know what to say having never been presented with this combination of partners before. Don't stop watching the show. Gay, straight, red, blue, man or woman...I don't care as long as you can dance. Read his apology below from Am I being naive to think that he is not homophobic or is he really that much of an asshole?

So You Think You Can Dance' judge Nigel Lythgoe apologizes for homophobic remarks

May 24, 2009, 12:17 PM | by Jennifer Armstrong

Categories: Television

So You Think You Can Dance judge Nigel Lythgoe has issued an apology for remarking during this week's season premiere that same-sex ballroom couple Misha Belfer and Mitch Kiber "probably alienate a lot of our audience." During his critique, he'd also told them, ''I'd like to see you both dancing with a girl... You never know, you might enjoy it, too.'' After GLAAD took notice, Lythgoe said he regrets the "poor word choices," adding, "I am not homophobic and it was extremely upsetting for me to be classed as such." His statement goes on to say:

"I have been forthright and consistent with my opinion, as a judge, that professional male dancers should move with strength and agility -- like Gene Kelly and Rudolph Nureyev. I now realize how this could be misconstrued.

"I have been a dancer, and involved in the dance world, for nearly 50 years. Professionally and personally, I believe the sexual orientation of an auditioner or contestant is irrelevant. All that said, the fact that I have unintentionally upset people is distressing to me and it is obvious I have made mistakes that I must learn from. I trust that my humor will be more sensitive and mindful moving forward."

This is just gross....

Mary Kay Letourneau to Host 'Hot Teacher Night'

I cannot get past the fact that she started their sexual relationship when he was 12. And now they are paying her to host a party at a bar. Even if they are married now the whole thing just gives me the heebie jeebies. See full story here.

So You Think You Can Dance - Auditions

Until I get to know the top 20 and decide who I am routing for, the audition process is interesting but hard to dissect. Last night in the search for the next "America's Favorite Dancer" Nigel and co (and I do mean loud as shit Mary Murphy) hit New York and Denver. There was definitely talent (not cry my eyes out talent Mary) and then there were the idiots. Watching Nigel try to be politically correct when critiquing the same sex salsa dancers was hilarious. And then of course there was the girl dressed as cat dancing to Star Wars. I know that so many people in this world want to be famous but "dancing" to the Star Wars theme with light sabers as your props does not make you famous; it makes you stupid (although I am talking about her aren't I)! Next week the judges hit Miami and Nashville (I think) to add even more dancers to the growing number headed to Vegas. Oh and one more thing, weirdo choreographer Sonia does not a judge make. At one point I thought that she was going to have an orgasm at the table over a dancer (not appropriate) and she could not string two words together to articulate her thoughts. Any of the other choreographers are fine. She needs to stick with the dancing.

It Must Be Nice to be Queen!

Not only does she have jewelry to die for, a huge castle, cars to take her anywhere, and people bowing down to her daily. Now she gets a gold-plated Wii to play with (full story here). GOLD_ PLATED Wii! Who in the hell needs a gold-plated Wii? My guess, the Queen of England.

Update on Gossip Girl

Just read Ausiello on (here). This is the latest on Georgina and how long she will be around in the fall.

Questions: I just finished watching the Gossip Girl finale, and it was awesome. My question for you is about Georgina: At the end of the episode she announced she was going to be Blair's roommate at NYU -- strongly implying that she would be a presence, if not a regular character, in season 3. But Michelle Trachtenberg is in NBC's new fall drama, Mercy. What does this mean about Georgina and Gossip Girl? --Cory
It means producers thought ahead and made sure Trachtenberg negotiated a three-episode Gossip Girl "out" in her Mercy contract. You didn't really think the Georgina-Blair roommate thing would last longer than that, did you?

Thought this was interesting.

Chace Crawford in Footloose

I am a little unsure of the casting for the remake of Footloose. I loved (and still love) Kevin Bacon as Ren in Footloose. Now everyone is reporting (here) that Chace Crawford will be the new Ren in the remake. Really? I don't see it. What do you think?

Glee on Fox

I watched a new show on Fox last night that is supposed to debut this Fall. The show, Glee, is about a high school teacher who is determined to bring back the glory days of The Glee Club? I know, I know it sounds slightly lame but I found the show funny, engaging and enjoyable to watch. The high school kids are your typical stereotypes and the teachers fall into their own specific categories. I loved the show and the end sequence of the Glee Club singing Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" was very cute. One to watch.

Shout Out to How I Met Your Mother

We still don't know who the mother is. And we have no idea what is going to happen with Barney and Robin. But last night's episode of How I Met Your Mother was strangely satisfying. Between Robin "Mosbying" Barney (telling someone you love them to scare them off), Marshall attempting to jump buildings, and Ted wrestling with a goat; the episode was a great ending to yet another wonderful year. Plus CBS has renewed the show for another season. I love a good season finale!

Gossip Girl - Here's How It Ended....

1. Georgina will officially be back next season and is looking to room with Blair at NYU (yes you heard me how hilarious will that be).

2. Rufus and Lily's son has arrived in New York to search for them and has already made contact with Dan (unknowingly I think).

3. Nate had another "Mrs. Robinson" moment and opted to backpack with Jessica for the summer. Not sure what this means or if I care.

4. Rufus and Lily are engaged and (I assume) moving in together in the Bass pad.

5. Little J is the new queen at Constance (again not sure if I care).

6. Serena met up with Carter (who) again and is now searching for her father this summer. I was unaware that he was missing but always a mystery.

7. Chuck finally (finally) told Blair that he loved her and they are going to live happily ever after (yeah right).

8. And......still no identity of Gossip Girl has been discovered. Shocker I know but she (or he) did play with everyone last night (very funny). All secrets were revealed but surprisingly no one really cared (for very long).

So that was it. We have to wait until the fall to find out how everyone fared over the summer. Oh and one more thing; the spinoff 80's flashback has been cancelled (can you be cancelled if you never started). So no young Lily to get to know. I must say I am a little bummed. No matter what I would have loved the music. XOXO

Gossip Girl - Graduation Tonight

I am embarrassingly excited about tonight's season finale of Gossip Girl. I have been waiting all year for Chuck and Blair to get together and tonight could be the night. As for the other drama expected (Georgina et al) that is just icing on the cake. Recap tomorrow. Is anyone else excited (or am I the only loser with no life outside television)?

Samantha Who? Cancelled

I just read on EW. com (here) that the hilarious Christina Applegate sitcom, Samantha Who, has been cancelled after two seasons. If the networks continue to cancel the sitcoms what will be left for us to watch?

HIMYM - Season Finale Tonight!

Will Barney declare his love for Robin tonight? Are we any closer to figuring out who the "mother" is? And what is up with the goat? Stay tuned for the season finale of How I Met Your Mother tonight. Please let it be funny, please let it be funny, please let it be funny....

Gossip Girl Spoiler (sort of)

Every Thursday I read Ask Ausiello (here) on This is his latest on Monday's finale of Gossip Girl.

Ausiello: One of the cliffhangers involves Georgina ... and Dan, and another Blair and Chuck. Actually, the latter is less a cliffhanger and more a itisaboutfreakingtime. (Real word. No lie. Look it up if you don't believe me!)

Does this mean that Chuck and Blair will finally get together? Does Dan hook up with Georgina? Or does Georgina know who the long-lost sibling of Dan and Serena is? Or does Georgina know that Dan is Gossip Girl (hey he is a writer)? I don't know if I can wait three more days (OK that was dramatic). XOXO

Bones - Will There be Sex?

Is tonight the night? Will Booth and Brennan finally end up in bed together? The shows producers are being extremely vague about the season finale tonight. The consensus is that the two do end up in "bed" together but what that means and in what context; well no one is saying. Gonna have to watch the show.

What a day!

Does anyone else feel like this is what some days deserve?

Housework ADD

I always said that I had ADD when it came to doing housework. You know the drill; start unloading the dishwasher, remember that the clothes need to go in the dryer, remember that the mail is here etc until you come back three hours later and the dishwasher is open and you can't remember if the dishes are clean or dirty. My sister-in-law sent this to me yesterday and it is really funny. Read the whole thing because this is me on a daily basis.
Recently, I was diagnosed with A.A.A.D.D. -
Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder.
This is how it manifests:
I decide to water my garden.
As I turn on the hose in the driveway,
I look over at my car and decide it needs washing.
As I start toward the garage,
I notice mail on the porch table that
I brought up from the mail box earlier.

I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car.
I lay my car keys on the table,

put the junk mail in the garbage can under the table,
and notice that the can is full.
So, I decide to put the bills back
on the table and take out the garbage first.
But then I think,
since I'm going to be near the mailbox
when I take out the garbage anyway,
I may as well pay the bills first.
I take my check book off the table,
and see that there is only one check left.
My extra checks are in my desk in the study,
so I go inside the house to my desk where
I find the can of Coke I'd been drinking.
I'm going to look for my checks,
but first I need to push the Coke aside
so that I don't accidentally knock it over.
The Coke is getting warm,
and I decide to put it in the refrigerator to keep it cold.
As I head toward the kitchen with the Coke,
a vase of flowers on the counter
catches my eye--they need water.
I put the Coke on the counter and
discover my reading glasses that
I've been searching for all morning.
I decide I better put them back on my desk,
but first I'm going to water the flowers.
I set the glasses back down on the counter,
fill a container with water and suddenly spot the TV remote.
Someone left it on the kitchen table.
I realize that tonight when we go to watch TV,
I'll be looking for the remote,
but I won't remember that it's on the kitchen table,
so I decide to put it back in the den where it belongs,
but first I'll water the flowers.
I pour some water in the flowers,
but quite a bit of it spills on the floor.
So, I set the remote back on the table,
get some towels and wipe up the spill.
Then, I head down the hall trying to
remember what I was planning to do.

At the end of the day:

the car isn't washed

the bills aren't paid

there is a warm can of Coke sitting on the counter

the flowers don't have enough water,

there is still only 1 check in my check book,

I can't find the remote,

I can't find my glasses,

, I don't remember what I did with the car keys.
Then, when I try to figure out why nothing got done today,

I'm really baffled because I know I was busy all day,
and I'm really tired.

Does anyone else ever feel this way?

America's Next Top Model finale tonight

I know that I said I would not blog about this show anymore (basically because Tyra bugs the shit out of me) but I just read something and wanted to share. Apparently after tonight's finale of ANTM, Paulina Porizkova's services will no longer be needed. Are you kidding me? She was the reason I was still watching the show. I found Ms. Porizkova to be funny, humble and very direct (without a hint of drama).
Read the article below from

May 13, 2009, 06:05 AM | by Mike Bruno

Categories: Television

On last night's Late Late Show, Paulina Porizkova told host Craig Ferguson that she has been fired from America's Next Top Model. She said the news came to her over the phone on her birthday. "The reason I was told I was fired was because it seemed that America’s Next Top Model has gotten too fat and they needed to cut some fat and the fat was me," sha said, adding later, "So I figured it was either that or my gigantic huge ego. Which I wasn’t aware of until I was told by the producers that I have an ego problem." Porizkova will make her last appearance as an ANTM judge on tonight's finale.

Now who has the ego problem?

The Biggest Loser - Thank God for Tivo!

The three hours of the live broadcast last night to crown the new Biggest Loser, was quite possibly the longest three hours ever! And to top it off I am pissed about the winners for both prizes! And I hated the way that they made those two poor girls work out and sweat and then only have one make it on the show. What has become of my show?

As most of you know, Helen (former pink team mom/daughter) has won this season of the Biggest Loser. If you remember Helen is the one that chose to send her daughter home and stay on the Ranch (which obviously worked out for her). It seems to me that Helen is a little selfish but what do I know? Plus she did not look that great last night. No seriously, it was almost like she lost too much weight. Being that skinny makes her nose look bigger (did I say that). OK, OK I am bitter (a little). Mike only lost by 4 pounds! 4 Pounds! That's one giant trip to the bathroom. Tara looked really good but it seemed as if she knew she was not going to win.

As for the take home prize, I was rooting for Kristin. I wanted her to win and she deserved it. It was not meant to be. The prize went to Jerry (who was on the Ranch like 2 weeks) who looked too skinny as well. Plus did Jerry seem a little drunk last night to anyone else? He never really said anything, he just flexed his muscles (?). So sad to see that David of the orange team has not lost any more weight. The boy needs help and I hope that he gets it.

All and all a good season of the show, not a great season (because who I wanted to win did not). I still love the show, I am just ready for someone that Bob trains to win (OK not a Heba or Vicky but maybe a Kristin). Later taters.

Helen Wins???

More on this later but I wanted everyone to know how disappointed I am with the ending of The Biggest Loser. Helen was my least favorite contestant and she won. Mike lost by only 4 pounds! Anyway here is the story on (click here) and I will discuss more later. I am just so mad.

Tuesday, May 12, 2009

Who will it be?

Who will be the Biggest Loser tonight? Will it be Tara who seemingly can do no wrong and has never lost a weigh in? Helen who is a selfish bitch and sent her daughter home (did I write that)?, Ron who has been gunning for his son to win the entire time? Or Mike, the youngest contestant in Biggest Loser history? Also who is going to take home the "take home" (hee hee) prize? All questions will be answered tonight in an excruciatingly long 3 hour live episode.

Gossip Girl - Flashback?

I was a little disappointed last night with Gossip Girl; not the real time part, the 80's flashback. I had a hard time understanding the point of the flashback (especially if it was not picked up) and the grainy quality did nothing for my eyes.

In New York, circa now, it was Prom! Dan springing Serena from jail to take her to the prom was flirty and fun. Both Serena and Dan seem to have loosened up and having them laugh, joke and insult each other is fun to watch. Even Chuck trying to create the perfect night for Blair (with Nate?) was fairytalish. Blair won Prom Queen because Chuck stuffed the ballot box, and Blair had her dream dress because Chuck destroyed the first one (what resources this guy has). But alas the night was imperfect when Blair and Nate broke up (probably out of total boredom).

As for the flashback, we see Lily in the early 80's dressed in all her preppy splendor trying to track down her sister. Said sister is trying to make it on her own with no help from rich Daddy. Lily gets in trouble at a party (Van der Woosen is throwing the party, Serena and Eric's dad?) and is arrested. Oh and there are major sparks (OK just sparks) between Lily and some guy from the valley. That was it. Does it leave me wanting more, no not really. Oh and for those of you wanting to see No Doubt and their big television performance...yeah they were on screen for less than 3 minutes.

The moral of this story is...Gossip Girl needs to remain in real time. The flashback stuff might be interesting for some but not me. Unless I get to keep the soundtrack. I do love 80's music. Next week graduation with hints of something big; Poppy going to jail, more Georgina, Rufus and Lily's son returning from the dead, or do we finally find out who is Gossip Girl? All possibilities. XOXO

Monday, May 11, 2009

I love the 80's

Don't forget the 80's flashback is tonight on Gossip Girl (as is the prom). I cannot wait to see Lily as a teen. Although rumor has it that the spinoff is not going to make it...we will see tonight if we should be sad or not. Also, who will win Prom Queen? XOXO!

Saturday Night Live - Justin Timberlake

I know that most of you have probably already seen or discussed this but bear with me I just watched last night. I originally thought that nothing could be funnier than Justin and Andy Samburg singing the now classic "Dick in a Box". I was wrong! Their "new" single entitled "Motherlover" was absolutely hysterical. Not only that, the cameos of Susan Sarandon and Patricia Clarkson just added some substance to the video. If you have not seen the performance yet check it out (here). Let me know what you think.

What My Mama Told Me

Isn't it funny that most of wisdom that my mother imparted on me I swore I would never say to my own children yet I find myself saying the same things on a daily basis.

  • Money does not grow on trees.
  • Close the door. Were you born in a barn?
  • Because I said so.
  • Just wait until your father gets home.
  • Because I am the mother, that's why.
  • Be careful what you wish for.
  • If I told you once, I've told you a thousand times.
  • This hurts me more than it hurts you.
You know you have some that you remember or say. What are they? What good ones did I miss?

The Fashion Show - In Brief

If you want a full recap check out David Dust (here). I just wanted to make a few comments on Bravo's attempt to recreate Project Runway.
  • Isaac Mizrahi is hilarious and such fun to watch. I do like the fact that the show picks a name that most people recognize and can relate to (hello Target).
  • Reco (one of the contestants) looks exactly like JJ Walker from Good Times (just gayer-is that a word). So far he is my fav.
  • Give the judges a room to discuss the contestants in. Lurking in a hallway trying to decide who goes home seems weird and slightly shady.
  • Some of these contestants seem a little strung out. Not sure where Bravo dug them up.
Overall I liked the show. The producers (or Isaac) need to work on a better flow and giving us more personality. Also I need it to not seem so generic (is that the right word). We will see what happens.

Throw Up Bug - Yuck!@

My youngest is sick today and had to stay home from school. She was throwing up all night and cannot keep anything on her stomach. The best laid was her Mother's Day Tea (she is devastated), I had a trainer appointment (which I might still make) and a babysitter this evening (which I will cancel). With children you never know what came come up (literally) and put a wrench in your schedule. But after moaning last week about how old she was getting (turning 5) and then seeing how small and helpless she looked last night, I realized that no matter what age, our children do need us. Now I have to go clean sheets and wash out the trash can, I know, I know it sounds like a really fun day.

Oprah with Elizabeth Edwards

Did anyone else watch Oprah today? I normally don't watch television in the afternoon (I watch so much at night) but I could not resist checking out Oprah's interview with Elizabeth Edwards (from my home state of North Carolina). Disclosure: I am not and have never been a John Edwards fan. I found him too political and way to "smile the cute smile and all your troubles will go away". However I have admired this woman (Elizabeth) for years. She is smart, resilient (the name of her new book is Resilience), and extremely dedicated to her children. I often wondered what she was doing with a man like John.

The interview today was the first time that Elizabeth has spoken publicly about her husband's affair and the idea that he may be the father of the child that was born to the woman with whom he had an affair (did that make sense?). Anyway, for a woman who has been diagnosed as terminally ill with cancer she looked strong and not healthy but not sick either. The only problem that I had with the interview was that Mrs. Edwards made it seem as if she could forgive her husband the one indiscretion but could not forgive if the affair was ongoing. I don't think I could forgive either one. She also stated that they are working on their marriage and she wanted to "protect" him when he told her. Protect him from pain she said. What about the pain he was causing her?

I was left with a sad, unsettled feeling after the interview was over. Sad for this woman that deserves so much more but has so little time left and even sadder for this man that does not know how much this will hurt and scar his children. I have very little (or none actually) respect for men that cheat but I also loved that Elizabeth Edwards called out the woman for her lack of respect for her marriage.

I know that this is more serious than I usually am but I was affected by the interview and wanted to mention it. On a happier note...tomorrow is Friday! Later taters!

Don't Forget Tonight

As everyone knows this is Bravo's take on Project Runway (since Runway is going to Lifetime). I will not recap (no one compares to David Dust) but I might make a few comments here and there. Can't wait to see how it compares.

How I Met Your Mother Info

On today Ausiello confirms that Stella is not the Mother (or NPH confirmed). I gotta say I am relieved. After leaving Ted at the alter I did not want it to be Stella (although I love Sarah Chalke).

How I Met Your Mother
: Neil Patrick Harris is pretty much confirming what I reported in Ask Ausiello today: Stella ain't the mother, despite how things may have looked at the end of Monday's episode. "There have already been episodes where older Ted is saying that she's not, so we'd have to go against our word to make that the case," he says. "But I think she'll have something to do with the realization of who the mother is." (Additional reporting by Emmet Sullivan)

The Biggest Sap Fest (I mean Loser)

Sap Fest! Sap Fest! Sap Fest! That was basically all last night's episode of The Biggest Loser was. A lot of "living my life now, "making the right decisions", and "finding the balance" crap was spouted for what was possibly the longest two hours of the season. Let me quit my bitching and give you the rundown.

The night began with all 4 of the contestants heading home for a month. At the end of that month they would have to return to the Ranch for a weigh in to determine the final 3. Everyone had trouble at home. I compare it to an addict (lets face it they are) going home from rehab. Anyway a few days in, each contestants receives a challenge box. They all have to finish a marathon. They had 26 days to train for 26 miles. Helen and Tara ran for a good portion of their marathon. Mike had to walk (he hurt his hip training and was mad as hell) and of course Ron walked (with a cane). All 4 were determined to finish. And all 4 finished. It took Ron a long, long (long, long) time but he completed the 26 miles.

Next up was the weigh in. With the final three on the line both Ron and Mike pulled decent numbers but it was not enough. Both members of the Brown team fell below the yellow line. So now America has to decide if Ron or Mike should compete in the live finale'. Ron of course urged everyone to vote for Mike (Mike has a better chance to win) while Mike said he would be happy with either choice (yeah right).

The finale' is next week and we will find out who is this years Biggest Loser. I can't decide who I want to win...still. I can't stand Helen and every time she speaks I cringe and fast forward. Tara has worked hard I know but she too seems so full of herself. If not for the scheming of his father, Mike seems like a genuinely nice 18 year old with some integrity. And Ron, well what can you say about Ron (the Godfather)? He has played the game, well. Till next week I guess. I am thinking...Go Mike (maybe).

Do I Need a Trainer?

Today was the day! I started my Mother's Day gift a little early. A Personal Trainer! I asked for it and now I got it. As I have constantly stated, I hate exercise. I am not ever going to love it but at this point I must tolerate it. I have also come to terms with the fact that when I look better I fell better about myself (duh!)and therefore I am a happier person (and wife and mother).

Anyway, I had my first session with HER today, and while it was not so bad (we just got familiar with the machines) I refuse to be lulled into a false sense of relief. If I am not sore tomorrow, I will be for sure on Saturday (my next session is on Friday). Let the games begin (and not fun ones). I will let you all know how I am progressing.

Once more for the record: I HATE EXERCISE AND I LOVE REGULAR COKE!!!!!!!

Did we meet the Mother?

Last night on How I Met Your Mother, Ted tried to show his future children how unrelated incidents could lead to an important event. From Barney's 200th conquest (gross but hilarious), to Robin having food poisoning and on to Marshall's addiction to graphs; everything has a purpose. These events led to Ted meeting Stella on the street. Now does this mean that Stella (remember she left Ted at the alter) is the mother? Or does this mean that Ted meeting Stella is going to lead him to the children's mother?

Gossip Girl - So the Bitch Really is Back

The wide eyed innocence of Georgina was starting to get to me in last night's episode of Gossip Girl. I kept hoping for the old Georgina to make a comeback and that she did; but not until the very end. At least this new found bitchiness (or rediscovery of) leaves the door wide open for more Georgina in the future (and the Georgina that we love to hate not the doe eyed sap that found the Lord). Just a few thoughts about last night...

  • Dan, SHUT UP! Stop talking! Especially to the grown ups about things that are not your business. When did Dan become the goody two shoes of Gossip Girl? And more importantly why?
  • Finally, finally Chuck lets Blair go. He lets her establish a relationship with boring old Nate because he "loves her". Whatever dude. I know that the saying is "if you love someone set them free" but free to do what? Live a boring life with no scheming ever. That is just not Blair. Obviously we have not seen the last of this triangle.
  • I almost threw up when Gabriel tried to get Serena to believe that he really cared about her and that he wanted another chance. You stole money from her family and friends and want her back in the sack. I thought for a moment that she considered it but alas maybe Serena does have some sense.
  • When did Lily become an old fuddy-duddy? She wanted to let Poppy get away (and she did) so as not to cause a scandal. But then she had her own daughter arrested? All of this is a build up to the episode (and maybe spin off) of the young Lily that airs next week. Maybe we will begin to understand why she is so conflicted.
  • As for the botched Rufus engagement; did we ever really think that was going to happen? Rich woman, poor man with pride (now a poor man with no pride would work) never works.
Only two(?) more episodes left (I think) and next week is the 80's flashback and the Prom. Does this mean that Poppy does get away with the money until next season? What about Rufus and Lily's "dead" child? Will Jenny ever get a new haircut? Where is Vanessa? Till next week. XOXO

The Mother Ship - Nielsen

All my life I have read about the Nielsen Ratings and how this affects our television viewing options. Because of the amount of television I watch I always thought that it would be so cool (sad I know) to be a part of the rating system. Imagine my hope and surprise when I opened my mailbox today and found a card stating that Nielsen was sending a package to my house for a survey. Now I know that this does mean that my opinion would count for anything, and I also know that this card was probably sent to everyone buuuuuut for one brief moment my heart went aflutter and I thought what if? What if I did so well on the survey that Nielsen decided to place a box in my house? What if finally I was able to live the dream of getting paid to watch TV? What if? A girl can dream, right?

The Amazing Race - Final Three

I have yet to watch last night's episode of The Amazing Race but have read on other blogs today who is in the final three. Margie and Luke (deaf guy and mom), Tammy and Victor (Asian brother and sister) and Cara and Jaime (friends, cheerleaders and mean girls) all made it to the finale. I also heard a rumor that the reason Lakisha and Jenn (black sisters) did not make it was that they had to use the bathroom. Is this true? I was kind of hoping that they would come back after last weeks pool debacle. Plus I felt that the two sisters received the bad press on the run in with Margie and Luke and I wanted them to prove themselves. But alas it was not meant to be and the sisters were sent packing. Now who am I going to pull for? The cheerleaders have been rude to foreigners all over the world (one of the reasons that people in other countries hate Americans), Margie and Luke seem to be out to prove something all the time and Tammy and Victor are the obvious choice to win and I love an underdog. Oh Mel and Mike I miss you so much....

You know you are a redneck when....

I could not resist. Do we consider this a wife-beater or can someone who wears this even manage to find a wife (or a husband I can't tell if a man or woman is wearing this thing)? Have a great start to your week!
