This week consisted of a few hometown dates and more than a few surprises. The date with Reid and his family went well (no major surprise) but Reid might be a little bit of a commitment-phobe (shocking). I loved Michael's family and Jillian seemed to have a great time (again no surprise) but there was no spark when she finally kissed him. Kiptyn's mother is stuck up and thinks her son is perfect (no!!!!) and the Jesse date seemed slightly lackluster and boring (again shocking). Then we arrive in Austin (as does Jake). The Wes date begins with a performance from his band (hmmm) and then Jillian goes back to the hotel. Jake arrives to tell her that Wes has a girlfriend which Wes denies and all is right with the world.
But wait someone else has come to Austin to visit. Yes that is correct Ed has returned. Jillian allows him back into the fold with very little explanation and he heads to he rose ceremony. The 4 remaining roses go to Reid, Kiptyn, Ed and Wes (of course). So my beloved Michael and boring Jesse go home.
Not only does Jillian believe every lie out of Wes's mouth but she also allows Ed to come back after dissing her for his job. This girl almost deserves all the heartache that she has received. How on earth can you be close to 30 years old and still be this naive about men. Next week everyone goes to Spain and I hope to finally say adios (I crack myself up) to Wes. Knowing Jillian, however, Wes will be her final guy and she will always believe that that stupid song (please stop playing it) is really all about her even though the title is Laurel's song (his real girl;friends name). Farewell to Michael. You deserve better.

My top three...
1. Brandon and Jeanette did a hip hop routine so well that I forgot Brandon was a slightly effeminate contemporary dancer. It was absolutely a joy to watch and I actually watched the routine twice.
2. Evan and Randi were granted a Mia Michaels routine inspired by Randi's ass. Sounds weird I know but so impressive and well executed that i forgot about the lackluster jive routine from last week. 3. Ade and Melissa pulled the Rumba last night and executed it so well. I have to say that Ade who I knew nothing about has progressively become one of my favorites and last night he showed why.
As for the bottom three; sadly last night there was a lot to choose from. I felt like the dancing was a little weak and non-inspired. But if I had to pick my worst...
1. Phillip and Jeanine danced a Broadway number that left me wondering when we were going to actually see the real Phillip. Jeanine was not bad but Phillip was disappointing (again).
2. Karla and Jonathan, who I loved last week, were awful in the hip hop routine. The dance was boring, out of sync and in general not anything that I would want to see again.
3. Caitlin and Jason danced a Paso Doble and I was left wishing that Twitch was back for another season. I love this couple (probably because they are so pretty) but last night was another indication that pretty does not make you dance better.
So that is my short review of last night. I am sorry for being so brief. I do wonder who is going home and will be watching tonight to find out (in real time). Later!

The episode began with the men (guys) and Jillian departing on the Rocky Mountaineer ( a train) for a ride through British Columbia. I thought that the train was different (in a good way) but how in the world do you get any privacy. Anyway, the first one-on-one date was with Robby and from the beginning you just knew he was heading home. But how? Oh by leaving him on the side of the train tracks with his bags packed. Such a sad sight.
Next up was the group date with everyone else but Reid. So Kiptyn, Jake, Wes, Tanner, Michael, and Jesse all got to snowshoe and freeze with Jillian while trying to get brief moments of alone time. Jake attempted to tell Jillian how he felt about her (he completed this task the next day), Michael tried to not be too goofy and Kiptyn just grabbed her ass and hooked up with her. And Kiptyn got the rose.
I was a little shocked at how neurotic Reid seemed. Not on the slopes but later when he admitted to be freaked out by fondue. At least he admitted his idiosychrisis. Jillian like that and gave him the rose.
Meanwhile back on the train. Wes openly admitted to wanting to sell records and Tanner came clean about "girlfriend gate". Wes stated that he did not like a tattletale (I am shocked) but that he and Tanner were cool.
The rose ceremony only had one little speed bump. Jillian needed to reassure herself that Michael was ready for marriage and children, Apparently she felt that the conversation went well because Michael, Jesse and Wes each got a rose. Added to Kiptyn and Reid the remaining 5 all get hometown dates with Jillian.
One final note on Wes; at this point I think he is blatantly trying to be the "villain" to get more television time. I hate even talking about him to give him the satisfaction but I am still so shocked that Jillian does not see through him. Next week with Jake's return should be rather interesting. Later all.

1. Father of the Bride (no brainer) when George Bank's gives his daughter a cappachino machine and she proclaims "I could not love anything more". At this moment Steve Martin as George Banks looks like he is about to cry and it tugs my heartstrings every time.
2. Father of the Bride part 2 when George Banks (what is it about this guy) looks at the doctor who is about to deliver both his child and his grandchild and states "Doctor these women are my life". I tear up just thinking about it.
3. Rudy when Rudy's father finally makes it to the game and walks in and sees the field at Notre Dame in color (not in black and white) for the first time and states "it is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen"'
I am sure that I have more (Goonies, Love Actually and more) but these above stick out in my clouded mind today. Help...what did I forget?
With that said one of the quotes this week from People.com was from Kid Rock.
He said "What's more creative then a stripper pole on a pontoon boat?"
– Kid Rock, accepting the Wide Open Country Video award for the video for his song "All Summer Long," at the CMT Music Awards
Around here that makes perfect sense.

My top 3 this week were...
Melissa and Ade who danced a crazy, f@#cked up "jazz" routine with Sonia (Mohawk weirdo). But I gotta say that the danced was awesome and both Melissa and Ade were amazing in it.
Asuka and Vitolio dancing a waltz were just beautiful. Mary Murphy actually cried (not that big of a deal) but even Lil C was impressed.
Karla and Jonathan danced a contemporary routine and I got chills. They are a beautiful couple and the dancing last night between the two of them was phenomenal.
Honorable mention has to go to Kayla and Max. Their routine was awesome as well but both Jonathan and Karla and Asuka and Viltolio were in the bottom last week and I think that they deserved my top spots for sheer improvement.
Here is the hard part for me. My bottom three are...
Jeanine and Phillip dancing the tango looked awkward and strange. I love Phillip but this dance was not his thing and it showed (over and over).
Caitlin and Jason who were another couple I loved last week just stunk up the stage this week. Their hip-hop number was so out of sync even I could see it and I was disappointed.
Ashley and Kupono also did a hip-hop number this week and again I was disappointed. Ashley was not as bad as Kupono but neither seemed to have the spark that the number needed.
The rest of the couples were in the middle for me. Randi and Evan were not bad doing the jive and Brandon and Janette did a good job with the disco but neither dance stuck out to me as unbelievable. The one nice moment was when Lil C completed Brandon on his dancing (after he was so mean at auditions) and I could see that Brandon was moved.
So any thoughts or comments? Who will be in the bottom tonight? Who is going home? And did I miss one of your favorites?

Michael, the sweet, goofy, break dance instructor (I know right) just makes me laugh (and Jillian too) but I am not sure that this is enough. Jillian did not seem to want to kiss him and while she kept him around with a rose, I feel as if his days are numbered.
Next up was the group date that included everyone else except Jesse. Now Jillian wanted to get to the bottom of the whole "who has a girlfriend thing" but the way she went about it just seemed all wrong. No man is going to admit any wrongdoing ever unless you have proof. I am so frustrated by how dumb (sorry Jillian) Jillian seems when it comes to Wes. His lines are contrived and well rehearsed (like he has watched previous seasons and practiced), he constantly has to mention his CD, and he just does not seem as up front as she would like him to be (or thinks he is). But she is snowed (get it snowed hee hee) by his looks and attitude. On the group date Ed mentions that he is having trouble at work so Jillian gives him the rose (?). What a waste of the rose when Ed the next day announces that he must leave or risk losing his job. So Ed is out and Jillian cries.
Finally Jillian has her one on one with Jesse on a glacier. I think the funniest line of this whole segment was when Jillian says "let's go explore our glacier" and the camera cuts to a vast wide-open space of white. Yeah lots to explore by the way. Anyway, Jesse and Jillian seem to get along well and Jesse gets a rose.
The rose ceremony this week is not precluded by a cocktail party. Jillian knows who she is going to send home and wants to get right to it. Will it be Tanner (root of all the drama), Wes (has she finally seen through him), Jake (Mr. Too Perfect) or Mark (he has not said he likes me)? The only one to go home this week is, in fact, wait for it.....Mark. Disappointing that Wes is still around but mark had very little screen time so you knew it was inevitable.
The scenes for next week are interesting, Wes "admits" that he wanted to promote his album (whatever that is an editing trick) and someone has erectile dysfunction in the bedroom? Wait what? Has it already gotten to that point? Who is it going to be?
I have been a loyal user of your 'Always' maxi pads for over 20 years and I appreciate many of the ir features. Why, without the LeakGuard Core or Dri-Weave absorbency, I'd probably
never go horseback riding or salsa dancing, and I'd certainly steer clear of running up and down the beach in tight, white shorts. But my favorite feature has to be your revolutionary Flexi-Wings. Kudos on being the only company smart enough to realize how crucial it is that maxi pads be aerodynamic. I can't tell you how safe and secure I feel each month knowing there's a little F-16 in my pants.
Have you ever had a menstrual period, Mr. Thatcher? I'm guessing you haven't. Well, my time of the month is starting right now. As I type, I can already feel hormonal forces violently surging through my body. Just a few minutes from now, my body will adjust and I'll be transformed into what
my husband likes to call 'an inbred hillbilly with knife skills.' Isn't the human body amazing?
the throes of cramping so painful I wanted to reach inside my body and yank out my uterus, I opened an Always maxi-pad, and there, printed on the adhesive backing, were these words: 'Have a Happy Period.'
effective immediately, there will be an $8 drop in monthly profits, for I have chosen to take my maxi-pad business elsewhere. And though I will certainly miss your Flex-Wings, I will not for one minute miss your brand of condescending BS. And that's a promise I will keep. Always.

Is tonight the night we find out if Wes does actually have a girlfriend?
Or did Tanner lie only to get Jillian's attention?
Tune in! I know summer television does suck but what are you going to do?

"I'm clearly not ugly."
– Megan Fox, on whether she thinks she is good-looking, to EW
She is clearly not humble either.
After an amazing opening number last night (such fun to watch) Cat Deeley began the long (long) process of telling each pair of dancers whether or not they were safe. All four of the couples that I voted for were safe (see you have to vote) Jeanine and Phillip, Randi and Evan, Caitlin and Jason, and Kayla and Max. The bottom three were Paris and Tony, Jonathan and Karla, and Asuka and Vitolio. My only shock was that Jonathan and Karla were placed in the bottom three over Kūpono and Ashley (crash test dummies). I just thought that their dance was a little too weird for the American public (that means me).
The solos were done, not really to the judges satisfaction. When Nigel stated that he was sending Paris home because of her dancing and the fact that the Top 20 was overrun with contemporary dancers; well that did not seem fair. I will agree that her solo was the worst but to leave on a technicality (of any kind) seems a little harsh. As for the boys, there was no doubt in my mind who should and would go home. Tony's solo lacked very little substance (think Michael Jackson without the good moves). So goodbye to Tony and Paris and on to the Top 18.

1. I had to fast forward a lot while Mary Murphy was screaming (ugh) but I did not miss her Botox mention. Hilarious I must say.
2. I liked Tony in auditions, now not so much. He was not that great last night and his constant winking got on my nerves.
3. Wade Robson is a weird mofo. His crash test dummies dance was just strange last night. The judges seemed to love it, I just did not get it.
Tonight we will hear the results and watch the solos. Should be interesting to see which dancers already have a following. If you want a more detailed recap check out Adam B. Vary on EW.com (here). Later.
Glee plans to keep fans singing all summer long
The cast of Fox's Glee are a hit on iTunes: Their cover of Journey's ''Don't Stop Believin''' reached No. 1 on the Top Songs chart. So to keep fans occupied until the show returns this fall, producers are planning to release at least two more songs from upcoming episodes on iTunes this summer. (A Glee source says one contender is a cover of Queen's ''Somebody to Love.'') Also look for new performance videos to pop up on Facebook and YouTube. Glee fever has even hit a certain Piano Man. Says co-creator Ryan Murphy, ''Our music supervisor got a call yesterday from Billy Joel, who said, 'Anything you want of my music, you can have it.' We're thinking of doing an episode of all Billy Joel.'' — Tim StackQuestion: Where's all this Glee scoop you're supposed to have? --Tessa
Ausiello: Lose the 'tude, Tessa. Here's your Glee prattle: Whitney Houston apparently doesn't share EW staffer Tim Stack's love for singing high schoolers. Last week, Ryan Murphy, creator of Fox's musicomedy, told us he's been engaged in "ongoing talks" with the Grammy-winning superstar to make a guest appearance this fall. But a rep for Houston, whose first studio album in seven years drops Sept. 1, insists "it's not happening." Responds Tim Stack in a statement: "It's not right, but it's ... nope, it's not okay either."

Do you think that these are the ones going home? The Top 20 dance tonight. I cannot wait to see how the partners are split and I have Tivo ready to fast forward through Mary Murphy screaming.

Last night the remaining men (guys) travelled to Vancouver to have more time with Jillian. She had a one-on-one date with Kiptyn, a group date and then a two-on-one date with Mark and Mike. The date with Kiptyn went well (shocker) and of course he went back with a rose. Then on the group date two teams had to compete in a curling (shuffleboard on ice) match to see which team got to have dinner with Jillian. Jesse (he looks a little like Matt Damon) wins it for his team and wins the group date rose as well. David finally shows his true colors and after dropping the f bomb multiple times and then getting rejected for a kiss, we all know he is on his way out. The two-on-one date with Mike and Mark seems a shoo-in for Mike. We know him, he is open with his feelings ( a little too much if you ask me) but in a shocking twist (my goodness I sound like Chris Harrison) Jillian picks Mark and Mike goes home.
At the cocktail party with three roses already given out (Mark, Kiptyn and Jesse) Jillian has to select 2 men (guys) who are going home. We already know one (David and his foul mouth and meat head attitude) but who is the other unlucky guy? While Jillian is beginning to have her time with each of the guys, many are starting to give her a heads up as to what goes on in the house. Wes the aspiring country music singer (shocking that he wants to be on television) apparently has a girlfriend back home and is on the show for his 15 minutes of fame. No one will name names but after Tanner tells her the gist of what is going on Jillian loses it. She wants to know who has a girlfriend and if any of these men are here for the wrong reasons.
OK at this point I reiterate, did anyone expect any of these fellas to openly admit that they just wanted to be on TV? The funniest thing was when David tries to call out whoever actually told Jillian what was going on (he has some really strict "Man Code" that one). Don't worry that someone is lying, worry that someone gave the girl that is supposed to fall in love a heads up. Bless Tanner he was sweating through the whole thing and I hoped that no one was going to give him away. He is not one of my favorites but I think he did the right thing. Anyway since no one ever said anything Jillian sent David (shock) and Juan (really shock) home. Juan was not expected. Although I thought he was a tool ( and the sparkling eye thing took me over the edge) I was under the impression that Jillian liked him. I need to give the girl a little more credit.
So next week someone gets confronted about the girlfriend thing (Wes I hope). Do they go home? We just have to wait and see. By the way, you know that summer TV is bad when I actually look forward to the Bachelorette. Just an FYI!
1. The prom episode in which Zack and Kelly break up "for good". I am not sure why I liked this one so much especially since the prom ended up being in costumes but for some reason I remember the final dance of Zack and Kelly and yeah I got a little upset.
2. The entirely dumb rap version of Snow White episode in which Zack as the prince kisses Jessie, even though he is going out with Kelly. Such drama, such heartbreak. Once again why it stands out I don't know but I know that I will watch any time it is on.
Admit it, you watched the show too right? Am I the only dork out there (besides Screech) who loved this show? Check out the "where are they now" on Yahoo while you are at it. I love that shit.

Philips Norelco Razors win $10,000 (enter here)
General Mills win $25,000 (enter here) - On this one you have to buy General Mills products, Hamburger Helper®, Totino's® Pizza, Totino's® Pizza Rolls®, Pillsbury Toaster Strudel® and Chex Mix®†, but who doesn't eat this stuff?
Let me know how it turns out.
"Heather, bulimia is so '87!"
"F@#K me gently with a chainsaw!" (I loved this one)
"I don't patronize bunny rabbits."
"What is your damage, Heather?"
Did I miss any? Anyway, just a heads up that a movie might be in the works. Can Hollywood not come up with anything new? Why do they have to screw with our movies?
The Bachelorette, Jillian Harris, is very cute and seems to have her wits about her. However, the bachelors she has to chose from seem cheesy and tool-like. Seriously if I hear the word "connection" one more time I think that I will scream. But yet I can't stop watching! On one of the recent episodes one of the guys (Juan, more cheesy than most) actually told her that her eyes sparkled during the sunset and he could not stop looking (OK vomit now). Of course there is drama, and some man fights (which you normally don't see as much of on the Bachelorette) but the major draw is just the pure, unadulterated idiocy of these guys.
Tonight we are supposed to find out if everyone is actually there for the "right reasons" (aka to find a life partner on television in front of millions of people) or if some of the guys may just want TV time (NO I am shocked by that). If you need a laugh, or some cheesy pick up lines, or if you want to understand why a smart, beautiful woman would put herself through this (OK wait the show won't answer that) then check it out. Bachelorette tonight on ABC!

1. Mia Michaels is just a bitch. A talented bitch certainly but still; a bitch. My heart went out to Brandon last night when he eagerly awaited the news on whether or not he had finally made it into the top 20 and she decided to once again call him out. She basically let this poor nervous boy know that she did not like his attitude (?), his dancing did not impress her (again ?), and he seemed fake. I thought Mary Murphy was going to climb down the judges table and claw her eyes out. Brandon made the top 20 and let Mia know that he was ready to work with her and prove her wrong (good for him) but I still hated the way she berated him, for the hell of it, one last time.
2. Can you be upset with a company, even if you have never seen a performance? The Miami City Ballet has certainly made a name for itself this morning, and not in a good way. The ballet would not release Alex Wong from his contract, therefore he was unable to be in the top 20. Alex was visibly upset (and rightly so). Either we will see Alex for season 6, or he is destined to be an awesome ballet dancer forever. And he is awesome!!!!
3. I know that it was for television, and it got everyone talking, but I hated the way the final two guys left for the final spot in the 20 were the brothers, Ryan and Evan. I loved them both and their quirky Broadway-esque styles were so fun to watch. Ryan made it, as older brother Evan went home, and I hope that Evan realizes how good he truly is.
As for my favorites in the top 20; and this is hard because quite a few of them had very little screen time. For the guys I like Phillip, Evan, Jason and Tony. These are just the ones that stood out to me with personality plus (this could all change in a week). As for the girls; Kayla (the grandparent thing), and Randi (she was adorable in her unitards) are my ones to watch thus far. Next week will begin the pairings and I am excited to see what the rest can do. God I love this show!
