About 10 years ago I had a baby boy. I also began my obsession with a wand carrying boy named Harry. As most of you know, I have read all of the books (multiple times) and seen all of the movies. My boy is going into the 4th grade and has finished all of the Harry Potter books. The rule was that he could not watch one of the movies until he had read the subsequent book. So tomorrow, for the first time, he gets to go with me to a Harry Potter film on the big screen. I find it oddly touching that the year he was born was the start of the movie franchise. I got my tickets yesterday and we are going at 9:45 in the morning (weird time for a movie but I want to see it before anyone can talk to me about it). I am excited but also sad to know that this chapter is ending for us all. I will let you know what I think (and what my boy thinks).Ahhh one last time to be a muggle...

Me and crowds don't mix so I'll probably end up waiting for the dvd (also because I know I'd end up bawling like a baby at the end...)
If my tutor kids don't pick out a book to read (and they NEVER do) we read Harry Potter. I've done a lot of lesson plans with those books :-)
