A month away and look at what has changed...

I took some time off.  Lots going on at the the old homestead and I needed a break.  I might still but I am missing my people and missing reading and catching up.  Who knew though that taking a break for a month would allow for so many things to change.  Both real life and beyond....

*  Teams on Project Runway ----- Really?  Not sure how I feel about this.
*  Brothers playing brothers in the Superbowl.  Kind of exciting.
*  Gays in the Boy Scouts....hmmm, good thing if it happens.  Jury still out on that decision.
*  Robin and Barney engaged on HIMYM ----- Yay!  Its about time!
*  Gossip Girl was Dan?  Who really cares?
*  Kristen got sent home on Top Chef?  Seriously?  Gail Simmons I used to love and respect you.
*  Don't Trust the "B" in Apartment 23 cancelled.  Mad about this one.  Was loving JVDB (James Van der Beek).
*  Award Shows abound.  Love this time of year but have seen none of the movies.

Lots of unknowns in my life right now and I am trying to work through everything.  I will be sporadic for awhile but know that I am thinking about you all and really miss you.  I hope that 2013 is going well for everyone.  High fives, kisses and hugs people.

Top Chef Reunion...

Just watched Top Chef Reunion and I have a few comments....

  • Heather is a bitch.  She actually said that she did not mean to "throw Bev under the bus" and that she would not apologize for her work ethic comment.
  • Bev came out on top in the war of the words.  She held her ground and was very classy in what she had to say.  Gail even made a comment about her class, way to go Bev...
  • Sara told a judge to f##K off.  Think it was Emeril and Sara was mad that it was brought up at the reunion.  Hello, reality television people.
  • Are Malibu Chris and Grayson dating?  That was a question.  I don't see it.
  • Loved Ty-lor's naked butt picture just because it was funny and he just played it off so well.
  • I really enjoyed the outtakes.  Laughed a lot..
  • I am still so glad that Paul won.  He deserved it and I could not have imagined it being anyone else.
So what happens next (had to do it)....

Top Chef - a little surprising

I was not expecting Tiffany to get sent home last night.  She has been so strong, especially in the last few weeks, and I felt like they would have taken that into consideration before sending her home.  And to see how shocked everyone was, was a testament to how good she was.  This entire season has been a little dull admittedly and now without the hope of Tiffany winning (and we long ago lost the showdown between Kenny and Angelo) I am pulling for Kevin (of course).  I know this is a longshot because based on everything I have read, he will be the next to leave.  But if Angelo wins (and he will) I will be disappointed.  Did anyone else hear him discuss how he made love to his dish last night.  Just a weirdo people, just a weirdo....

The announcements of the new dancers for "Dancing With the Stars" came out today. I do not watch the show but am always interested in the dancing and the forgotten celebrities that ABC gets to compete. Here is the list:

Melissa Joan Hart, actress
Michael Irvin, former Dallas Cowboy
Ashley Hamilton, actor, comedian, singer-songwriter
Aaron Carter, singer
Kathy Ireland, former supermodel-turned-businesswoman
Debi Mazar, actress

Louie Vito, snowboarder
Chuck Liddell, ultimate fighting champ
Donny Osmond, singer
Tom DeLay, former Republican congressman
Macy Gray, singer
Joanna Krupa, model and actress
Mark Dacascos, Iron Chef personality
Kelly Osbourne, reality star

For recaps and up to the minute reporting on this show check out Joy's take (Babble On). This is how I keep up with the show. Anyone you are excited to see?

Not only do we now have the dancers for this show but Top Chef starts this week (Wednesday) as well as Project Runway (finally on Thursday). And....school starts tomorrow!

What a great week?!

Playing Catch up....

Just a few notes on my favorite shows this week. Having visitors can mess up your whole schedule so this is all you get and I will resume real updates next week.

The Amazing Race - I was totally bummed that Toni and Dallas were sent packing after Dan and Andrew never seemed to get it right. I have no one to pull for in the finale (I guess maybe Starr and Nick but that seems too easy). Does anyone else think that Tina's eyebrows are getting worse. Anyway, good luck to Toni and Dallas (although Dallas never did seem real intelligent) I loved that her respected his mother so much and that they made such a terrific team.

Gossip Girl - Obviously I Knew(as did everyone else) that Bart was going to die. I am unsure how I feel about how they are going to handle his death and how Chuck Bass (I just love saying his whole name) will take the news. As for the Jenny/Nate/Vanessa thing...yawn and double yawn. I am just glad that it is over and now little Jenny is going back to school (where she belongs) and back to trying to be the Queen Bitch.

Top Chef - Just one comment about last night's episode. Never (ever) say that you are going to go "outside of the box" when creating a meal for the elimination round. As the past has proven this is a sure way to get eliminated. Poor Alex goes out on a dessert and he did not seem too upset about it. Did he sabotage himself? We may never know.

I think that is it for the week in shows. I have been cleaning and decorating and trying to get my house into some semblance of order. Now all I have to do is begin my Christmas shopping. Later taters.

TOP CHEF Tonight!!!

Top Chef premieres tonight on Bravo at 10:00 pm! I am so excited that the show is back and have been watching marathons of seasons past in preparation. Last season was the first season I watched and I was hooked from the start. I would say head over to David Dust's blog (here) tomorrow to catch the recap but he is busy tonight with something important (see post here). Hopefully he will have time to recap after all of his protesting. No recaps on this one for me, just a few comments here and there. Later taters!!!
