This sort of bothers me....

I have been reading with interest the news of the murder of former NFL quarterback Steve McNair. As most of you know; I love all things football. Steve McNair was no exception. He was a small player made good. His college was not a Division IA school, yet he still made it to the NFL to play for Tennessee. The question is, am I disturbed by the fact that he was killed (of course) or disturbed by the fact that he was killed with his mistress. The father of four, the news of Steve McNair's death continues to be publicized (full story here). Whether the deaths were murder or a murder/suicide, the entire thing seems like a big fat waste of a life. This kind of stuff always makes me question what goes on behind closed doors?

We keep getting updates on the local news from the police spokesman, and it seems more and more likely that it was a murder/suicide. She was barely 20 and recently bought a gun, which was illegal since the age is 21. My guess is that he must have said he wasn't leaving his wife. Jeff Fisher spoke emotionally at his press conference. It's sad, a waste of lives, and poor judgment to say the least. I feel so bad for Mechelle McNair with so much to deal with - mourning his death, anger about the circumstances, and dealing with their children.

He did a lot for Nashville. Fisher said he hoped he was remembered for his accomplishments, teamwork, and service to the community instead of the details of his death. We'll probably never know the whole story.
